PIA Magazine

Pia is the Hawaiian word for beer. The IBU wanted to have a fun project to work on as we were organizing ourselves and thought, wait a minute, there are no beer mags in Hawaii so why not start one? Admittedly we don’t have a clue to how a magazine works but doing a little research (i.e. reading magazines) we came up with a generic layout that makes sense. Using MS Publisher and sourcing articles from members, we put this together in a matter of a few weeks. Its not perfect, but we think its beautiful! As we continue to get organized, the plan is to put PIA out quarterly in a pdf form on our website and get the word out via social media.
